History

Polskie Konsorcjum Gospodarcze Spółka Akcyjna was established in 1993. Its original name was “Podlasie – Obiekty Graniczne i Autostrada”. The company was renamed PKG SA in 1996. Its founders’ objective was to create undertakings under public-private partnerships. The planned objects of the company included
– road (motorway) construction, repair and maintenance
– border-crossing construction and modernisation
– terminal and transhipment-and-warehousing base construction
– design, investment supervision and project management
– construction-and-assembly activities, and repair-and-construction activities in all fields of civil engineering
– agency and representation services

The “Podlasie – Obiekty Graniczne i Autostrada” Company was jointly founded by
- the State Treasury
- the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy S.A.
- Elektrim S.A.
- Exbud S.A.
- Kopex S.A.
- Mostostal Warszawa S.A.
- Stalexport S.A.
- ConsEco Sp. z o.o.

The share capital of PKG S.A. equals PLN 18,201,000.00. The Warsaw Equity Group is currently the majority shareholder in PKG SA. The main honours include the 1999 Construction of the Year, The Laurel of Podlasie and credibility certificates
